The Roundhouse website, like many others, uses small files called cookies to help customise your experience. Cookies are small text files that are stored by the web browser on your computer or mobile device. Websites are able to read and write these files, allowing them to store things such as personalisation details or user preferences. Cookies provide a “memory” for the website, enabling it to recognise a user and respond appropriately. A cookie cannot give us access to your computer or to information beyond what you provide us.
You may refuse to accept cookies by deactivating them on your browser, for more details on how to do this visit www.aboutcookies.org.
When opening the Roundhouse website on your computer or mobile device for the first time, you receive a notice prompting you to Accept cookies, or customise the cookie settings.
Our site uses a limited number of cookies essential to power particular services.
Our ticketing, membership and customer relationship management software, Tessitura, sets a number of first party cookies to remember who you are. This allows you to log in your Roundhouse account (for example to change your marketing preferences or update your personal details), put items in your online basket and proceed through the checkout.
Our customer service support software, Freshdesk, uses a cookie to display their widget (the question mark icon displayed in the bottom-right corner of all pages on our site). This allows you to get in contact with Roundhouse about any related enquiries via our website, including questions about our venue or your visit.
Analytics cookies are set to collect and report on aggregate non-identifiable information, using third-party web services.
We use Google services, including Analytics and AdWords, which sets cookies to enable us to see which pages on our website people are visiting and whether transactions have been made. This data is anonymous and allows us to better understand our audiences and therefore provide them with a better service. It helps us ensure that our campaign work is effective and that we are spending money in the right places.
We only use this Google Analytics information for statistical purposes. Full information about the cookies that are used by Google Analytics can be found on their website, including the option to opt-out of Google Analytics.
We also use Microsoft’s service Clarity, which sets cookies so that we are able to view how users interact with the website, through click and scroll monitoring. Within Clarity site visitors are assigned a unique user identifier, so that Clarity can keep track of returning visitors without relying on any personal information, such as the IP address.
We include cookies on our website that send data in real time to third-party companies (Meta and LinkedIn) about your behaviour on our website, including the pages you visit and the products you buy. We use these advertising cookies to measure the effectiveness of our social media advertising and ensure paid adverts are being shown to the correct audiences. You can update these preferences by going to the Privacy Settings on your social media profile.
You can easily control and disable cookies through your browser settings.
